METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OFFERING ONLINE BID SERVICE OVER NETWORK

PURPOSE: An online bid service method and system is provided to calculate a priority order for each participant bidder, and to determine the bidder of the highest priority order as a bid winner so that it can prevent an excessive competition among the participating bidders. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. A commodity management database, storing detailed information relevant to a commodity, e.g., a photo of a commodity and a maximum bidding price, is maintained(S210). Bidders search the commodity management database, and transmit a bid participation request on a commodity to a server(S220). The server checks the priority orders of the participating bidders(S230), selects the bidder of the highest priority order as the first bid winner, and notifies the bidder of the highest priority order that the bidder is given a commodity supply priority(S240). Then, the server checks whether the first bid winner transmits a confirmation response to the server(S250). If the confirmation response is not transmitted, the server receives rejection of the bid from the first bid winner, and stores the rejection data at a database(S260). Then, the server selects the bidder of the priority order next to the highest as the second bid winner, gives the bidder a commodity supply priority(S270). If the confirmation response is transmitted in the step S250, the server offers a user interface, including a commodity supply form, to the first bid winner(S280).
