Coupled Styrylcyanine Dyes and Their Synthesis

PURPOSE: A novel coupled styryl cyanine dye and its preparation method are provided, to improve the heat stability, the photo stability and the mole absorption coefficient by coupling two different kinds of dye molecules by the covalent bond. CONSTITUTION: The coupled styryl cyanine dye is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 to R4 are the same or different one another and are H, a halogen atom, or a nitro group or form a benzene ring together; R5 is an alkyl group of C1-C4; R6 is an alkylene of C3-c6; R7 is an alkyl group of C1-C4; X is O; and Z is ClO4, PF6, BF4 or a halogen atom. The preparation method comprises the steps of dissolving the aldehyde compound of the formula 2 and the aliphatic dihalide of the formula 3: hal-(CH2)n-hal into a solvent, and heating the solution in the presence of a base to obtain the dialdehyde compound of the formula 4 by the condensation reaction; and refluxing the mixture of the dialdehyde compound of the formula 4 and the indolium salt of the formula 5 in ethanol to obtain the coupled styryl cyanine dye of the formula 1 by dehydration, wherein hal is Cl, Br or I; n is an integer of 3-6, and R1-7, X and Z is the same above. 본 발명은 두 분자의 색소를 공유결합으로 연결시킨 하기 화학식 1의 색소 및 그의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 식 중, R내지 R는 서로 동일하거나 또는 상이할 수 있으며 수소, 할로겐 또는 니트로기이거나 또는 함께 벤젠고리를 형성할 수 있으며, R는 C-C의 알킬기이고, R은 C-C의 알킬렌이며, R은 C-C의 알킬기이고, X는 O이며, Z는 ClO, PF, BF또는 할로겐이다.
