AIR BAG CUSHION WITH THE ELEMENT FOR CONTROLING EXPANSION SIZE

PURPOSE: An airbag cushion with an expanded size adjusting portion is provided to adjust the expanded size of a cushion panel and to reduce a punch out forth by expanding a surface area of the cushion panel and increasing an outside tether. CONSTITUTION: An airbag cushion has an expanded size adjusting portion(110). A sewn line(112) is formed to a side panel(102) of the cushion panel(100) and an outside tether. The sewn line of the expanded size adjusting portion is ruptured gradually by an outputting pressure of the inflator. Therein, a surface area of the cushion panel is expanded and the outside tether is extended. Therefore, impact of a passenger is minimized. 본 발명의 전개 크기 조절부를 구비한 에어백 쿠션은 쿠션 패널의 표면적을 증가시키거나 아웃사이드 테더의 길이를 증가시킬 수 있는 전개 크기 조절부로 쿠션 패널의 전개 크기를 조절할 수 있고, 펀치 아웃 포스를 감쇄시킬 수 있어서 탑승자를 안전하게 보호할 수 있는 것을 그 목적으로 하며, 이를 위해, 부착구(101)가 고정된 에어백 쿠션 패널(100)의 내부에 가스를 발생시키는 인플레이터와, 인플레이터의 주위에 결합되며 스티어링 휠의 중앙공동에 고정될 수 있게 형성된 커버 브래킷을 구비하고, 쿠션 패널(100)의 사이드 패널(102) 일부와 그 외부에 별도로 설치되는 아웃사이드 테더(120, 120a)에 재봉선(112, 122, 122', 123, 124)을 형성시킨 전개 크기 조절부(110, 130, 130')를 포함하되, 전개 크기 조절부(110, 130)의 재봉선(112, 122, 122', 123, 124)이 인플레이터의 출력 압력에 따라 단계적으로 파단되어, 쿠션 패널(100)의 표면적과 아웃사이드 테더(120, 120a)의 길이를 증가시켜서 쿠션 패널(100)의 전개 크기를 조절한다.
