POWDER COATING DISPERSIONS COMPRISING EFFECT PIGMENTS

PURPOSE: An aqueous coating dispersion containing an effect pigment, its preparation method and its use are provided, wherein the dispersion is free from the problem that the pigment structure is completely destroyed to generate undesired pigment components when used before extrusion and pulverization process and the mixture is separated due to the difference of charge behaviors of powder coating and pigment particle when used after the process. CONSTITUTION: The aqueous coating dispersion comprises 5-60 wt% of powder coating; 0.2-10 wt% of an effect pigment; and optionally common additives such as a surfactant, a thickener and a fluidity controlling agent. Preferably the effect pigment is a plated-shaped effect pigment, and the plated-shaped effect pigment is a luster pigment.
