METHOD OF IMPROVING HEARABILITY OF SIGNAL FOR WIRELESS POSITIONING SERVICE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method of improving hearability of a signal for a wireless positioning service in a wireless communication system is provided to instantly stop transmitting other channel except a pilot channel by using a transformed IPDL(Idle Period Downlink) technology, thereby obtaining security of a CDMA network and improving hearability. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication system delivers a pilot channel of forward channels transmitted from a base station, and receives signals whose delivery is instantly stopped in the rest channels, then removes pilot channels which are forward link signals from the received signals by a mobile station. The wireless communication system estimates TOA(Time Of Arrival) information by using PN(Pseudo Noise) synchronization modules from signals where all strong forward link channels of the base station are removed, and improves hearability of a common channel signal of other base station.
