METHOD FOR SETTING STOPWATCH FUNCTION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for setting a stopwatch function in a mobile communication terminal is provided to simply embody the stopwatch function using the mobile communication terminal without buying a specific stopwatch by adding the stopwatch function in the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: The first designation key is selected in a terminal user menu(S23) to select and perform a stopwatch function, and it is checked whether the second designation key is selected(S24). If the second designation key is selected, a time from the selection of the first designation key to the selection of the second designation key is displayed(S25). It is checked again whether the second designation key is selected(S26). If the second designation key is selected, a time is continuously measured while a time from the selection of the first designation key to the selection of the second designation key is displayed(S27). If the second designation key is not selected, it is checked whether a terminal folder is closed(S28). If the terminal folder is closed, an LED(Light Emitting Diode) is turned off and the stopwatch time is continuously displayed and is simultaneously displayed on a dual LCD(S39). After opening the terminal folder(S30), it is checked whether the second designation key is checked again(S31). If the second designation key is selected, a time up to that time is displayed and the time is continuously measured(S35). It is checked whether the terminal folder is closed(S38). If the terminal folder is not closed, it is checked again whether the first designation key is selected(S32). If the first designation key is selected, a time from the initial selection of the first designation key to the second selection of the second designation key is displayed(S33). It is checked whether a reset key is selected(S34). If the first designation key is not selected, the stopwatch function is performed and it is checked whether a stopwatch measurement time is reached to a setting time(S35). If the stopwatch measurement time is reached to a setting time, an alarm signal is transmitted as a currently designated melody or vibration(S36).
