Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An ink jet recording sheet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to achieve good ink absorbent and high brilliance properties of the ink jet recording sheet without a calendering process and to reduce a production cost thereof. CONSTITUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises: a support; a first ink receiving layer disposed on the support, in which the first ink receiving layer contains pigment particles of having a particle size of 10 micrometer to 1 nanometer and a coupling agent; a second ink receiving layer disposed on the first ink receiving layer, in which the second ink receiving layer contains the pigment particles of having a particle size of 1 micrometer to 300 nanometer, the coupling agent, and a sizing agent; and an uppermost lustered layer that 75 wt. percent of pigments particles among whole pigments has a particle size of less than 300 nanometer.
