Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A submerged arc welding apparatus for joining pipes is provided which simply joins pipes having thin thickness in submerged arc welding, structure of which is simplified, and which stably supplies welding current at the same time. CONSTITUTION: The submerged arc welding apparatus for joining pipes comprises rollers(210,210') for rotationally supporting pipes(100,100') to be joined having thickness of 6 to 15 mm; a pressing roller(230) for pressing the pipes(100,100'); first welding torch(310); first position setting means(320) for positioning the first welding torch(310) at a joining part on the outer surface of the pipes(100,100'); first flux hopper(350) for supplying flux through a flux supply part formed on the side part of the first welding torch(310) and recovering flux accumulated on the outer surface of the joining part of the pipes(100,100'); first wire feeder(335) for feeding wire to the joining part on the outer surface of the pipes(100,100') through the first welding torch(310); second welding torch(410); second position setting means(420) for positioning the second welding torch(410) at a joining part on the inner surface of the pipes(100,100'); second flux hopper(450) for supplying flux through a flux supply part formed on the side part of the second welding torch(410) and recovering flux accumulated on the inner surface of the joining part of the pipes(100,100'); second wire feeder(435) for feeding wire to the joining part on the inner surface of the pipes(100,100') through the second welding torch(410); a welding power supply(500) for impressing a power source to the pipes(100,100'), first welding torch(310), first wire feeder(335), second welding torch(410) and second wire feeder(435); and a controller(600) for controlling operation of the rollers(210,210'), first flux hopper(350) and second flux hopper(450), and controlling a power source of the welding power supply(500) by controlling welding current of the welding power supply(500) within the range of 90 to 180 amperes. 본 발명은 배관 접합용 서브머지드 아크 용접장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 얇은 두께의 배관을 접합하기 위한 서브머지드 아크 용접장치에 관한 것이다.
