SURFACE HARDENED STYROFOAMS FOR ARTIFICIAL STONES AND MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT THEREFOR

PURPOSE: Surface hardened styrofoams with durability, light weight and saved manufacturing cost are provided for use as artificial stones by thermal treating the surface of styrofoams. Also, the manufacturing equipment enables mass production and increases inferiority of products. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing equipment for styrofoams(1) comprises the parts of: a casing(10) with an inlet(12) to which styrofoams are fed and a horizontal carry tube on its upper and lower part, respectively; a pusher(20) to push styrofoams by running of cylinder; a carry screw(30), being set on the center of the upper part of case, to move styrofoams into the lower part with rotation; an axis rod(40) on which a cutter(42) is placed to cut styrofoams; a burner(50) to heat the surface of styrofoams; and a fan(18) equipped on the side of the horizontal carry tube to cool the heated styrofoams.
