ROTATION PREVENTION APPARATUS FOR STEER SHAFT

PURPOSE: A rotation preventive apparatus of a steering shaft is provided to prevent a driver from being injured by restricting rotation of a steering column and displacement with inserting a fitting protrusion to a fitting hole of a fixing bracket. CONSTITUTION: A rotation preventive device of a steering shaft(20) is composed of a lower jacket(21) combined with the steering shaft by inserting a rotating member(22); a lower bracket(23) fixed in the lower part of the lower jacket; and a fixing bracket(24) combined with the lower bracket by a bolt, and fixed in a vehicle body. A rotation preventive sill(24a) is bent inward in the fixing bracket to prevent rotation of the lower bracket. A fitting protrusion is bent outward in the end of the lower bracket, and a fitting hole is formed in the fixing bracket. Impact is absorbed with bending the steering shaft and the lower jacket at a collision, and rotation of the lower jacket is restricted with fitting the lower bracket to the rotation preventive sill. The driver is protected against displacement or rotation of the lower jacket with inserting the fitting protrusion to the fitting hole. 차량의 충돌시 조향축 전체가 과도하게 회전되거나 이탈되지 않도록 운전자의 안전을 도모하기 위한 조향축의 회전 방지장치가 개시된다. 종래에 차량의 충돌시 조향축이 회전되거나 이탈됨으로써 운전자가 부상을 입게 되는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 조향축의 하부 외측에 회전부재를 개재하여 결합되는 하부 자켓과, 상기 하부 자켓의 하부 외주면에 고정되는 하부 브라켓과, 상기 하부 브라켓에 일측이 체결 수단으로 고정되고 타측은 차체에 고정되며 상측에는 상기 하부 브라켓이 회전되는 것을 저지하는 회전 방지턱이 절곡 형성된 고정 브라켓을 포함하는 조향축의 회전 방지장치가 제공된다. 따라서, 차량의 충돌시 고정 브라켓에 형성된 걸림 돌기 및 하부 브라켓의 걸림 돌기가 고정 브라켓의 걸림 구멍 내에 걸려짐으로써 조향 컬럼이 회전되거나 이탈되지 않도록 하여 운전자의 부상이 방지된다.
