Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A tape feeder for a device mounter is provided to maintain the tension of a top cover by providing a roller on a driving unit. CONSTITUTION: A carrier tape transfer unit(20) is installed on a side of a frame(1) so as to be capable of rotating and includes a sprocket(22) for transferring a carrier tape(2) intermittently. A top cover discharge unit(40) is installed on the other side of the frame(1), discharges a top cover peeled from the carrier tape(2), and includes a pair of discharge gears(41,42). The top cover is inserted into the discharge gears(41,42). A driving unit(50) drives simultaneously at least one discharge gear among the sprocket(22) and the pair of discharge gears(41,42). The driving unit(50) includes a worm wheel(58), a worm gear(57), a second roller(64), a worm wheel(63), a worm gear(62), and a driving motor(52) for driving simultaneously the worm gears(57,62).
