APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING AND DISSOLVING NAPHTHALENE IN TAR DISCHARGE PIPE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for separating and dissolving naphthalene in a tar discharge pipe is provided to prevent coking of the tar discharge pipe by naphthalene particles separated from an ammonia water tar separator in the process of producing coke by carbonizing soft coal. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for separating and dissolving naphthalene particles from a tar discharge pipe mounted on an ammonia tar separator, the apparatus for separating and dissolving naphthalene in the tar discharge pipe comprises a hollow casing(10) which is installed at the upper part of a tar guiding pipe(122); and a screen(20) which is equipped inside the casing(10) to filter the naphthalene particles, wherein the naphthalene particles are automatically removed by injecting a coal based aromatic organic solvent into one side of the casing(10) when naphthalene is accumulated on the screen(20), and tar is not discharged, thereby dissolving the naphthalene particles with the aromatic organic solvent.
