A system for supplying technical information by using the Internet and a method therefor

PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing the technical information using the Internet are provided to receive the new technical information by actively transmitting the new technical information wanted by a user through an e-mail. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a system operator(100), an external information source(200) and the user(300). A technical information collection server(120) stores and manages the information collected by oneself and received from the external information source in a technical information list database(110). A customer management server(130) stores and manages the customer information in a user preference technology database(140) by analyzing the information preferred by the user. A web server/mail server(150) connects to the technical information collection server and the customer management server, executes a role of a gateway connecting the operator with the Internet, and executes the role of providing a mail service to the user and managing the web of the operator. An external technical information management server(240) of the external information source manages and stores the information of a specific field in the external technical information database(220). 본 발명에서는 자신이 원하는 새로운 기술정보가 전자메일을 통해 능동적으로 전달되고, 사용자는 단순히 전자메일을 확인하는 것만으로도 새로운 기술정보를 받아볼 수 있는 정보제공 시스템 및 이에 따른 정보제공 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명은, 기술정보 목록 데이터 베이스에 새로운 기술정보가 수집된 경우, 새로 수집된 기술정보를 선호하는 사용자를 사용자 선호기술 데이터 베이스로 부터 검색하여 추출하고, 추출된 사용자별로 과거 수행한 기술정보 검색 성향과 각종 설문등을 통해 얻어진 과거 정보를 참조하여 상기 새로운 기술정보를 사용자 특성에 맞게 재구성하여 전자 메일로 전송한다.
