Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method is provided which more economically manufactures a plasma cutting electrode having superior electrode characteristics, a long life cycle and stability of the life cycle. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a plasma cutting electrode(20) comprising an electrode holder(21) comprising a channel(211) for circulating cooling water and an insert insertion part(212) into which an operation insert(22) is inserted; an operation insert(22) inserted into the insert insertion part(212); and an insertion metal inserted between the insert insertion part(212) of the electrode holder(21) and the operation insert(22), the method comprises the steps of forming a hole(24) on the operation insert(22) insertion part after preparing a Cu or Cu alloy electrode holder(21); positioning into the hole(24) an operation insert(22) consisting of a Zr, Zr alloy, Hf or Hf alloy and having a diameter less than that of the hole(24) after positioning an insertion metal consisting of silver or silver based alloy at the bottom part of the hole(24); positioning the insertion metal consisting of silver or silver based alloy at the front part of the insert insertion part(212) of the electrode holder(21) so that a molten solution of the insertion metal is inserted between the electrode holder(21) and the operation insert(22); and performing brazing by maintaining the insertion metal to a temperature which is 30 to 100 deg.C higher than a melting point of the insertion metal for 5 to 15 minutes. 본 발명은 플라즈마 절단용 전극을 제조하는 방법에 관한 것으로써,우수한 전극 특성을 가질 뿐만 아니라 전극의 수명이 길고 수명의 안정성을 갖는 플라즈마 절단용 전극을 보다 경제적으로 제조할 수 있는 방법을 제공하고자 하는데, 그 목적이 있다. 본 발명은 플라즈마 절단용 전극을 제조하는 방법에 있어서, Cu 또는 Cu 합금 전극홀더에 홀을 형성시킨 다음, Zr, Zr합금, Hf 또는 Hf 합금으로 이루어지는 작용 인서트를 상기 홀내에 위치시킨 후, 상기 전극홀더와 작용인서트사이에 그 융액이 삽입될 수 있도록 은 또는 은계합금으로 이루어지는 삽입금속을 전극홀더의 선단부에 위치시킨 다음, 상기 삽입금속의 융점보다 30~100C 높은 온도에서 5~15분동안 유지하여 브레이징하는 플라즈마 절단용 전극의 제조방법을 그 요지로 한다.
