Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A lamp cooling apparatus for LCD projector is provided to prevent boiling of LCD, deterioration of polarizer and life reduction of lamp by rapidly discharging the hot air generated from the lamp to outside. CONSTITUTION: A lamp cooling apparatus comprises a lamp assembly(10) having a lamp(11) for providing a light source for an LCD projector; a lamp assembly protection unit(20) having a lamp bracket(21) with an elongated hole(21a) formed at the upper surface of the lamp bracket so as to rapidly discharge the heat generated from the lamp assembly to outside; and a heat sink(30) arranged onto the lamp so as to rapidly absorb the heat generated from the lamp assembly and discharge the absorbed heat to outside. The heat sink is made of a material having a high heat conductivity so as to rapidly absorb the heat generated from the lamp assembly.
