TOUCH SCREEN MODULE FOR DO-IT-YOURSELF INSTALLATION

PURPOSE: A touch screen module for do-it-yourself installation is provided to improve the durability and appearance of a connecting part by integrating a touch screen and a driving controller with a mounting frame and to directly operate a touch screen module by simply connecting a driving cable to a computer mouse port without additional installation of a driver for a touch screen. CONSTITUTION: The module comprises a mounting frame(1), a touch screen(2), a touch screen driving controller for generating data proper to the protocol of a mouse driver, a heat seal or a flexible plastic circuit for transmitting electrical signals to the touch screen and the driving controller, and a driving cable(3) for connecting the driving controller to a mouse port(12) of a computer body. The touch screen and the touch screen driving controller are embedded and fixed in the mounting frame. The mounting frame is installed on the front face of a monitor housing by insertion or attachment. The touch screen module is simply installed by connecting the driving cable to the mouse port.
