Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is to secure nonuniformity of a large scaled liquid crystal display using a fluidic self assembly (FSA) technology and improve a yield of the display. CONSTITUTION: A switching area and a pixel area are defined in a substrate. A planarization layer is formed on the substrate and the substrate includes a groove in which a plurality of incline planes are formed. Gate interconnections(150a,150b) crossing across the groove horizontally are discontinuous at a vicinity of the groove. Data interconnections (160a,160b) crossing across the groove vertically are discontinuous at a vicinity of the groove. A nano block(200) is packaged in the groove and has side planes corresponding to the incline planes. At least one switching element and a plurality of pads(153,164) are formed on the top face. The plurality of pads applies a signal to respective switching elements. A connecting interconnection connects the nano block, the gate and data interconnections and one pad of one switching element. A pixel electrode(170) is in contact with the other pad of one switching element.
