Stable Pharmaceutical Composition Comprising Epidermal Growth Factor as an Active Ingredient

PURPOSE: A biologically and physically stable epidermal growth factor (EGF) composition prepared by using a carboxy vinyl polymer as base material is provided, which can be effectively used as a therapeutic agent for intractable ulcer. CONSTITUTION: The stable epidermal growth factor contains 0.01 to 1,000 microgram/g biologically active epidermal growth factor as an effective component and 0.001 to 50(w/w) carboxy vinyl polymer as base material, based on the total preparation respectively, wherein the biologically active epidermal growth factor is prepared in the shape of natural type or recombinant protein. 본 발명은 상피세포 성장인자(epidermal growth factor, EGF)를 유효성분으로 하고, 카르복시 비닐 폴리머를 기제로 포함하는 EGF 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명자들은 산성 고분자인 카르복시 비닐 폴리머를 기제로 사용하여 EGF 제제를 제조하는 경우에 셀룰로오즈 계열의 고분자나 중성 고분자보다 EGF의 충분한 효과를 발휘함과 동시에, 수용액에서 EGF의 안정성을 증가시킴을 확인하였다. 따라서, 본 발명의 카르복시 비닐 폴리머를 기제로 사용하여 제조된 생물학적 및 물리화학적으로 안정한 EGF 조성물은 안과 제제나 피부 외용제로서 난치성 궤양 치료제로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
