Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: Provided are a peptide and a pepsin hydrolysate of lactoferrin hydrolyzed derived from Korean native goat and having antibacterial activity. These are used in antibiotics, feed-stuff additives, eyewater, food, cosmetics, and antiseptic. CONSTITUTION: A peptide and a pepsin hydrolysate of lactoferrin derived from Korean native goat is prepared by the following steps of: (a) hydrolyzing lactoferrin derived from Korean native goat with pepsin and measuring an antibacterial activity of the hydrolysate; (b) obtaining a fraction of protein fragment using chromatography; (c) selecting the fraction showing strongest antibacterial activity and comparing its antibacterial activity with lactoferrin and hydrolyzed peptide having antibacterial activity; and (d) selecting the lactoferrin peptide showing the strongest antibacterial activity.
