Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A wavelength converter of an interferometer type having an optical fiber loop mirror is provided to install the optical fiber loop mirror on a front end and to maintain input signal strength, so as to increase an extinction ratio and an operation range of a wavelength converted signal. CONSTITUTION: A wavelength converter(6) converts a wavelength of an optical signal or optically displays a distorted signal. The wavelength converter(6) installs an optical fiber loop mirror(13) at the front, and reduces changes of output optical signals(14,15) according to input powers. The optical fiber loop mirror(13) composed of a two times two optical coupler(2) and one optical fiber(3) connects two output ports(c,d) with the optical fiber(3). The optical fiber loop mirror(13) is connected with one SOA(Semiconductor Optical Amplifier)(7) of the wavelength converter(6).
본 발명은 광신호의 파장을 변환시키거나 왜곡된 신호를 완전 광학적으로 재생하는 간섭계형 파장변환기를 개시한다. 본 발명은 간섭계형 파장변환기 앞쪽에 광섬유 고리형 거울과 광 서큘레이터가 마련되어 입력파워에 따른 출력 광신호의 변화를 감소시킨 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 파장변환기의 변환 효율을 높이고, 파장변환기에 입력되는 신호광의 파장 변환범위(dynamic range)를 증가시켜 파장 변환기의 현장 적용 가능성을 높일 수 있다. |
