METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING OPTIMAL RECORDING POWER OF OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling an optimal recording power of an optical recording medium is provided to maintain an asymmetric ratio of a constant signal in a recording signal regenerating process during a playing operation and an asymmetric ratio regardless of the outer and inner circumferences of an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A system detects a signal corresponding to a deviation of a recording film thickness to a disk radius of a recording medium. The system controls power of a recording pulse, to compensate characteristic changes of recording marks according to the deviation of the recording film thickness, on the basis of the detected signal. The signal corresponding to the deviation is a different signal with a reference signal of a reflection capacity relating to a regenerating pulse power for forming a space between the recording marks.
