METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING OIL IMPREGNATED SINTERED BEARING

PURPOSE: A method for assembling an oil impregnated sintered bearing is provided to generate stable dynamic pressure by making the surface roughness regular in assembling the oil impregnated sintered bearing with a bearing holder. CONSTITUTION: A method for assembling an oil impregnated sintered bearing(10) includes the steps of interposing a spacer(30) at the inner peripheral surface of a bearing holder(20) to maintain regular gaps of the oil impregnated sintered bearing, positioning a mandrel(60) at the inner peripheral surface of the bearing holder and having pore controlling grooves(61) formed at the outer peripheral surface at regular gaps following longitudinal direction, positioning the oil impregnated sintered bearing to be adjacent to the upper and lower end parts of the mandrel, pressing the oil impregnated sintered bearing toward the spacer through upper and lower punches(40,50) for adhering the inner peripheral surface of the oil impregnated sintered bearing closely to the outer peripheral surface of the mandrel, and separating the mandrel from the bearing holder to completely assemble the oil impregnated sintered bearing with the inner peripheral surface of the bearing holder.
