Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An ultraviolet ray shielding composition containing a ZnO-polyquaternium complex is provided. Therefore, a skin cosmetic composition, make-up cosmetic composition and medical composition containing the same have excellent adhesion and film forming properties when applied to a human body and ultraviolet ray shielding effect. CONSTITUTION: This ultraviolet ray shielding composition contains 0.01 to 30% by weight of a ZnO-polyquaternium complex based on 100% by weight of the total raw material composition. The ZnO-polyquaternium complex is prepared by mixing ZnO and polyquaternium having a particle size of 0.01 to 20 micrometer in a weight ratio of 1:0.05 to 1:20 and agitating at a speed of 2,000 to 4,000 rpm at 80 to 100deg.C.
