LONG NOZZLE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: A long nozzle for continuous casting is provided to stably operate under the severe casting conditions and improve productivity by not using molten silica at all or simultaneously replacing with aluminum nitride by reducing the amount of molten silica used and reducing the amount of carbon. CONSTITUTION: The long nozzle for continuous casting comprises 5 to 55 wt.% of aluminum nitride (AIN), 5 to 30 wt.% of carbon (C), and a balance of alumina (Al2O3), wherein silica (SiO2) is substituted to 20 wt.% for aluminum nitride, and the composition comprising 5 to 55 wt.% of aluminum nitride (AIN), 5 to 30 wt.% of carbon (C), and a balance of alumina (Al2O3) is applied to the upper part (1) of a long nozzle (5) and the lower part (3) of the long nozzle (5) which is immersed into the molten steel.
