FLAT COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: A flat color cathode-ray tube is provided in which a tie bar pitch of a shadow mask and a black matrix pitch of a fluorescent film are varied and which has improved visibility. CONSTITUTION: A flat color cathode-ray tube includes a frame assembly having a flat panel, a bulb configured of a funnel extended from the panel, and a flat shadow mask placed adjacent to the panel inside the bulb. A fluorescent pattern and a fluorescent film on which black matrix is coated are formed on the inner surface of the flat panel. The shadow mask is constructed in a manner that a tie bar(48) splitting a slit(47) into a plurality of slits is connected to a strip(46). The vertical pitch of the black matrix formed on the fluorescent film is longer or identical than or to the vertical pitch of the tie bar of the shadow mask.
