Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: Disclosed is a polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol globular adsorbent where hydroxy terminal group is substituted by various functional groups to recover quickly waste dye from dye wastewater with a low cost, being compared with conventional activated carbon adsorbent. CONSTITUTION: This polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol globular adsorbent comprises at least 50wt.% of polyethyleneglycol having 500 or more molecular weight and polystyrene resin crosslinked with divinylbenzene of 1 to 5wt.%. The polystyrene-g-polyethyleneglycol globular adsorbent requires preferably 100 to 200 mesh size, and the hydroxy terminal group of the polyethyleneglycol is substituted by one functional group selected from the group consisting of alkoxy, aryloxy, acyl, primary amine, secondary amine, tertiary amine, quaternary ammonium, tiol, and tioether.
