Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A fuel tank and a method for manufacturing thereof are provided to reduce manufacturing costs and to prevent an outflow of fuels when impacting a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The fuel tank(1) has bowl parts(2,3) made from plastic by injection molding and welded to each other. They are also positively connected to each other by a holding part(6). the holding part is fitted after the welding up of the bowl parts. The bowl parts may each have a projection(4,5) parallel to the weld seams.
