Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for backing-up and restoring a database in a matching apparatus and a network management apparatus is provided to ensure a consistency between a network management apparatus and a matching apparatus when restoring a database in the network management and the matching apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A database backup of the network management apparatus and the matching apparatus is performed through a backup device in the network management apparatus when requested by an operator in step 300. Appropriate data are updated for the network management apparatus and the matching apparatus respectively when a data update for the network management apparatus and the matching apparatus is requested in step 310 and 320. The database is restored in the network management apparatus and the matching apparatus by reading the backed-up database when the restoration of the database for the network management apparatus and the matching apparatus is requested by the operator in step 330.
