Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A production method of a high carbon steel wire rod is provided to properly control components of a high carbon steel and a cooling speed. CONSTITUTION: A billet of high carbon steel contains 0.75-0.85wt.% of C, 0.3-0.9wt.% of Mn, 0.15-0.35wt.% of Si, 0.04-0.5wt.% of V, 0.003wt.% or less of N, 0.01wt.% or less of P, 0.01wt.% or less of S, the balance of Fe, and other inevitable impurities. The billet is heated to resolve a carbide and a nitride of the V. The heated billet is cooled at a cooling speed of 0.5-5deg.C/s after a hot wire rod rolling. Thereby, a wire rod of high carbon steel having a low material deviation is produced. |
