Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for preparing thermoplastic starch is provided for enhancing physical property, dispersion capability and degradability of the starch by using a particular plasticizer including basic solution. And a bio-degradable plastic master batch including the starch together with other bio-degradable resins is produced by general mixing and extrusion process. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing thermoplastic starch is performed to proceed plasticization of starch simultaneously with chemical reformation by using a plasticizer including 0.1-20 weight part of basic solution to treat the starch. The basic solution comprises a mixture selected from at least one or more compounds comprised of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide and lime. Additionally, a bio-degradable plastic master batch comprises the starch together with common bio degradable resins by means of general mixing and extrusion processes with single or twin extruders having three stage barrels at 40-230 deg.C and a screw rotating speed of 40-700RPM.
