Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for driving a cathode of an electron gun is provided to reduce a leakage current between each heater and an electron emission material by separating voltage applied to each heater and the electron emission material. CONSTITUTION: An electron emission material(231-233) is heated by the radiation from a heater for red color(241), a heater for green color(242), and a heater for blue color(243). An electron beam is emitted by heating the electron emission material(231-233). The emission amount of electron beam is controlled according to a voltage signal applied to the electron emission material(231-233). The voltage is applied separately to the heater for red color(241), the heater for green color(242), the heater for blue color(243), and the electron emission material(231-233). The voltage applied to the heater for red color(241), the heater for green color(242), the heater for blue color(243), and the electron emission material(231-233) is provided from a transformer.
