Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A device and a method for producing metal or mineral are provided to produce a fine fiber of metal or mineral having a small diameter by decreasing a contact area between a disc and the fiber and to improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: A fiber producing device is comprised of a disc(2) rotating horizontally and a guide conduit(6) for dropping molten metal or mineral(8). A slant face(4) is formed on an outer circumferential face of the disc and the molten metal or mineral is dropped onto the slant face through the guide conduit. The molten metal or mineral is erupted in the rotational direction of the disc by the friction force with the disc. Further, the molten metal or mineral receives the force trying to horizontally spread to the outside by a centrifugal force. Accordingly, as the molten metal or mineral is dropped onto the slant face and thinly pressed by the centrifugal force, a fine fiber is produced.
