TOUCH-PANEL INPUT SYSTEM IN MINIATURE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A touch-panel input system in a miniature terminal is provided to reduce only a part relevant to a layout of a subordinate key pad, and to improve elasticity by operating other kinds of key pads if a layout sticker of the subordinate key pad and relevant key mapping software module are operated together. CONSTITUTION: An X-counter coordinate AD converter(32-1) senses an interrupt generated from a touch pad(31) under the control of relevant interrupt processor, and converts an X-counter resistance value into a digital value. An Y-counter coordinate AD converter(32-2) senses an interrupt generated from the touch pad(31) under the control of relevant interrupt processor, and converts an Y-counter resistance value into a digital value. A stability filter(33) combines an algorithm, and calculates an X-Y coordinate stabilized. A coordinate control filter(34) corrects a relevant value. A key mapping unit(35) compares a coordinate value approved by the coordinate control filter(34) with a layout of a subordinate input device indicated on the touch pad(31). A character input unit(36) indicates a character approved from the key mapping unit(35) on a display device.
