Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: The medium duplex management system is provided to ensure a stable industrial communication application for faults generated in mediums through media duplexing. CONSTITUTION: The medium duplex system is composed of an NIU(Network Interface Unit)(100) comprising an MAC(Medium Access Control) part(20), a logical connection control part(30), an application layer(40) and a network management duplex module(50) and a physical layer(200) comprising a DCM(Dual Channel Manager)(10), a medium A transmitting/receiving part(11) and a medium B transmitting/receiving part(12). The DCM(10), connected with the medium A transmitting/receiving part(11) and the medium B transmitting/receiving part(12), transmits data from the MAC part(20). The DCM(10) selects either of the data received from the two transmitting/receiving parts(11,12) and transfers the selected data to the MAC part(20). The network management duplex module(50) checks operation states for the MAC part(20), the logical connection control part(30) and the application layer(40). The network management duplex module(50), detecting an event generated from the state transition of the MAC part(20), discriminates whether the state of the present medium used for receiving is normal or abnormal.
