FRAME RELAY AND ATM INTERWORKING SERVICE SYSTEM BASED ON PC

PURPOSE: A frame relay/asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) interworking service system based on a PC is provided to implement a frame relay/ATM interworking service as a frame relay module, an ATM module, and a software on the basis of the high capacity of PC, so as to easily supply frame relay services in an ATM network. CONSTITUTION: A frame relay module(210) based on a PC supplies an interface for interfacing with a frame relay network/device. An asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) module(220) supplies an interface for accessing an ATM network. Software implements an interworking function to be mounted on the PC, and is performed. Each of the frame relay module(210) and the ATM module(220) is connected to a PC system bus, and the frame relay module(210) interfaces as a frame relay T1/E1 interface in a shared RAM. The shared RAM transceives a frame of a frame relay by an interrupt, and temporarily stores the frame in an interior. A system memory(230) performs a frame relay drive and a receiving interrupt service routine(ISR), by a hardware interrupt generated from a logic for generating a control signal in the modules(210,220), and duplicates a receiving frame to move the duplicated frame.
