CD PLAYER HAVING SEARCHING FUNCTION AND SEARCHING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A CD player having a searching function and a searching method thereof are provided to easily perform a position search of the CD player and to quickly and exactly search a wanted playback position of a user. CONSTITUTION: An inputted signal in a control unit(2) through a control signal input unit(1) is analyzed. In a general function key, a corresponding operation is performed. In a control key for a playback or a stop, storage of position information is decided. Without storing the same position information in the position information, information about a corresponding position is inputted into the position information. Collecting information and pointer information are stored in the position information. The collecting information is ignored when frequency information is over 20. Otherwise, a storage of the information is performed by increasing a storing frequency. In a searching key, a playback position is changed by reading a position information value in the pointer information area.
