Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for performing automatic backwash by understanding the leakage of particle material such as pathogenic microorganism, fine activated carbon by means of analyzing particles in treated water from an adsorption paper containing activated carbon. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises: the adsorption paper(1) containing the activated carbon layer(1) to adsorb contaminated matters; a first sizer(2) to measure particle size of sand filtered water and ozone treated water, which is mounted to the inlet of the adsorption paper(1); a turbidity meter(3) and a second sizer(4) to measure the turbidity and the particle size of the adsorption treated water, which are mounted to the outlet of the activated carbon adsorption paper(1), a control unit(5) to control and determine a point of time of the backwash by analyzing the particle size and the turbidity.
