Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A tension mask for a cathode ray tube is provided to solve an eyesore which the tie bars having the big pitch appear in a screen, and improve a definition on the screen. CONSTITUTION: A tension mask for a cathode ray tube comprises a tension mask(40) and a frame(50) supporting so that a tension force is applied to the tension mask(40). The tension mask(40) forms the slits(42) so that a plurality of the strips(41) are spacely installed on a thin film at the predetermined intervals. The slit(42) is separated from the interconnection tie bar. A false tie bar which is extended from on side of the strips to the other side of the strips is formed between the tie bars.
