Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A circuit for writing a data of a semiconductor memory device using an address counter is provided to generate automatically a desirable address without inputting from the outside to write a data as using an address counter capable of increasing or reducing an address a predetermined number by a predetermined number. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for writing a data includes a portion(310) for generating a counter writing 'enable' signal, a data writing controller(300), an address oscillating portion(380), and an address counter(390). The portion for generating a counter writing 'enable' signal generates a counter writing enable signal, and first and second data selecting signals in response to a counter writing signal and a selecting signal. The data writing controller generates an input and output line writing signal to do 'enable' an input and output line pair and generates a bit line sense amp operating signal to make an operation a bit line sense amp in response to the counter writing enable signal. The address oscillating portion becomes 'enable' in response to the counter writing enable signal and generates an address oscillating signal having a predetermined frequency. The address counter increases or reduces an address counting value K(>= 1) by K in response to the address oscillating signal and makes a word line become an 'enable' K by K in response to the increased or the reduced address counting value.
