Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An apparatus for preparing high purity iron oxide for use as a raw material of ferrite magnetics is provided, which is characterized in that condensed acidic waste water (H2O: 73%, HCl: 7%, FeCl2: 20%) sprayed into spray roaster (3) is treated by hot wind (at least 400°C), and resultant iron oxide is refined in a refining roaster (5) to obtain stable Fe2O3. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a spray roaster (3) linking a dust separator (4); a refining roaster (5) to eliminate Cl, water and organic materials remained in iron oxide (FeOCl, FeCl2, H2O and HCl); a burner chamber (6); a dust separator (4); a gas suction line (12); several air purge (13) for supplying air, thereby reacting remained FeOCl and/or FeCl2 with oxygen.
