EXPANSION JOINT FOR SIDEWALK OF BRIDGE JOINT AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An expansion joint for sidewalk of a bridge joint and an installation method thereof are provided to build an expansion joint without giving a damage on a structure and with reliability, simple construction and low cost. CONSTITUTION: Concrete(110) is cut in certain depth to settle expansion joints(130) on both ends of the concrete. The concrete is broken to form incision units(11,112). For securing expansion property, a backup agent(a) is inserted to the gap of the concrete. Holes are punched on the incision units to install anchor bolts(120). A sealant(b) is coated for flatness and waterproof of the concrete. The anchor bolt is combined with an anchor nut(140) to settle the expansion joint. The space formed by the expansion joint, the anchor bolt and the anchor nut is filled with sealant(150). Thereby, an expansion joint is completely installed.
