METHOD FOR RECORDING TIME INFORMATION OF RECORDING DIGITAL DATA STREAM, SEARCHING METHOD USING THE METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM ACCORDING TO THE METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for recording time information of recording digital data stream, searching method using the method, and recording medium according to the method is provided to perform a searching operation quickly and accurately by recording time information of a recording digital data stream corresponding to a time format of managing information and reading recorded time information. CONSTITUTION: A received packet arrival time of a transport packet is identified. A size of a region of the identified packet arrival time differs and the identified packet arrival time is recorded with a received transport packet. A packet arrival time of all time sizes to one transport packet or more is recorded in a recording data unit with a certain size, and a packet arrival time of a time size which is smaller than all time sizes is recorded to residual transport packets.
