Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An optical connector and an optical adapter are provided to reduce the number of parts which constitute the optical connector and reduce the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: An optical connector comprises a fixing section(38) which is mounted to the rear surface of a connector panel and in which a wing portion is formed, and a protecting boot(47) for fixing the outer layer and preventing the rapid bending. An optical adapter has two housing which are engaged with each other to form the optical adapter. An optical connector fixing catching member(28) is formed in the housing(24) of the optical connector adapter. A sleeve fixing portions(27,32) for fixing a sleeve is provided on a same line of the housings(24,25).
