DETECTION SYSTEM FOR GAZE POSITION

PURPOSE: A detection system for gaze position is provided to enhance the accuracy of a gaze track by recognizing the face of user to the characteristic surface by the plurality of characteristic point regardless of face movement. CONSTITUTION: A detection system for gaze position is composed of a camera(CAM), an image board, a controller and a computer(COMP). The camera(CAM) obtains a face image of user(U) in predetermined time interval. The image board converts the obtained face image to the digital signal. The controller extracts the plurality of characteristic point and the characteristic surface by the digital signal, forms the characteristic surface by the plurality of characteristic point and detects the gaze position(P) of user(U) by calculating the space movement of characteristic surface according to time. The characteristic surface is composed of two eyes(f1,f2) and the center of lip(f3).
