Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An operation control method of a compressor of a refrigerator is provided to improve heat exchange performance, to prolong the service life of a compressor by preventing rash change of torques and to abate vibration and noise due to the rash reciprocation of a piston. CONSTITUTION: A compressor is operated by a level(3600RPM-third level), one level higher than a present operation level(2800RPM-second level) if the present operation is not a predetermined level. Herein, an operation level corresponding to the cooling load during operation is determined. If the determined operation level is different from the current operation level by several levels, the operation level close to the predetermined level is performed. The operation levels are performed sequentially. Thereby, noise and vibration due to rash torques are abated.
