Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: A structure for buffering a shock of a rack and pinion steering system is provided to decrease a shock transferred to a steering wheel and to illuminate the change of the rotation number as the load increase in an engine. CONSTITUTION: A power rack and pinion steering assembly(10) is consisted of a rack and pinion housing(20), a rack assembly(30) and a tie rod(40). The rack assembly(30) is inserted in the rack and pinion housing and is prepared with a valve housing(23) in which a pinion shaft(22) formed with a pinion gear(21) is vertically inserted. A first and a second pipe line(24,24a) are connected between the rack and pinion housing and the valve housing. Herein, oil is supplied to the rack and pinion housing from the valve housing through the first and second pipe lines. An inner stopper and an outer stopper are prepared on both sides of an inner diameter of the rack and pinion housing. A first and a second buffering member(27,28) are installed on the inner diameter of the rack and pinion housing so that a shock between a rack piston(32) and an inner and an outer stopper is buffered. |
