Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A polystyrene-g-polyethylene glycol spherical resin, a process for removing dye waste using the resin, and a process for extracting organic dye adsorbed to the resin are provided. The processes can highly improve waste water treatment process since a problem of treating activated carbon does not occur owing to not using activated carbon, and have advantages in environmental and economic aspects since the removed dye can be recovered and reused by a simple and cheap process. CONSTITUTION: The polystyrene-g-polyethylene glycol spherical resin is characterized in which polyethylene glycol resin is in an amount of not less than 50 wt.%, having molecular weight of not less than 500 and polystyrene resin is crosslinked with 1 - 10 wt.% of divinylbenzene. The process for removing and recovering organic dye included in waste water in the dyeing process consists of removing dye from dye waste water by using the polystyrene-g-polyethylene glycol spherical resin as adsorption resin and recovering dye by treating the polystyrene-g-polyethylene glycol spherical resin having adsorbed dye with an organic solvent.
