METHOD FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS BY ADMINISTERING A THIAZOLIDINONE

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preventing or treating neurodegenerative disorders by administrating 5-££3,5-bis(1,1-dimethyl)-4-hydroxyphenyl|methylene| -2-imino-4-thiazolidinone or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The thiazolidinone is mild to gastrointestine and kidney, therefore, long term medication is possible, and has a long half-life, so, less amount of administrating thiazolidinone has a good effect on treating neurodegenerative disorders for the old users. Effective dosage of thiazolidinone is about 0.5 - 500 mg per day. About 1 - 50 mg of thiazolidinone is medicated 1-4 times a day conveniently.
