Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a system and a method for traffic regulation supporting a dual operation mode for front and rear regulation modes and a two-wheeled vehicle regulation function and, more specifically, to a system and a method for traffic regulation supporting a dual operation mode for front and rear regulation modes and a two-wheeled vehicle regulation function, capable of providing a function of detecting the license number and speed of a vehicle being driven forward when operated in the front regulation mode, and providing a function of detecting the license number and speed of a vehicle being driven backward by performing an algorithm of the front control mode in the same manner when operated in the rear regulation mode, while additionally providing a helmet regulation function for two-wheeled vehicle drivers. The method includes a data reception step, a data sorting step, a vehicle number identification step and a helmet regulation step. 본 발명은 정면단속모드와 후면단속모드의 듀얼동작모드 및 이륜차단속기능을 지원하는 교통단속시스템 및 방법으로서, 정면단속모드로 동작하는 경우에 정방향으로 주행 중인 차량의 차량번호 및 속도를 검출하는 기능이 제공되고, 후면단속모드로 동작하는 경우에는 정면단속모드의 알고리즘이 동일하게 수행되어 역방향으로 주행 중인 차량의 차량번호 및 속도를 검출하는 기능이 제공되면서, 이륜차 운전자에 대한 헬멧단속기능이 추가적으로 제공되는, 정면단속모드와 후면단속모드의 듀얼동작모드 및 이륜차단속기능을 지원하는 교통단속시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
