The present invention relates to a retaining wall block having a new structure which can be used for various purposes while improving strength of a retaining wall. The retaining wall block according to the present invention comprises: a block main body (10); and an extender (20) positioned on a rear side of the block main body (10) and detachably coupled to the block main body (10), wherein the extender (20) is embedded in a backfill material (3). Therefore, a greater resistance can be applied to the retaining wall block, and the strength of the retaining wall block is further improved. 본 발명은 옹벽의 강도를 향상시키면서, 다양한 용도로 활용할 수 있도록 된 새로운 구조의 옹벽블록에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 옹벽블록은 블록본체(10)와, 상기 블록본체(10)의 후측에 위치되며 상기 블록본체(10)에 탈착가능하게 결합되는 익스텐더(20)로 구성되어, 상기 익스텐더(20)가 뒷채움재(3)에 매립되도록 함으로써, 옹벽블록에 더욱 큰 저항력이 가해지도록 할 수 있으며, 옹벽블록의 강도가 더욱 향상되는 장점이 있다.
